Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew gave an update on implementation of the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial regulations law. He discussed an upcoming vote on the law’s “Volcker” rule, which would restrict trading at financial institutions that have federally-insured deposits. He also said the Obama administration would press for more comprehensive global regulation at an upcoming G-20 summit in Australia. Secretary Lew was introduced by former FDIC Chair Sheila Bair, who currently chairs the Systemic Risk Council at the Pew Charitable Trusts. close
