The three candidates running for the U.S. Senate in Utah participated in their first general election debate. Constitution Party Scott Bradley, Democrat Sam Granato, and Republican Mike Lee answered questions from moderator Ken Verdoia and a studio audience. Topics included the economy, immigration, and the role of government. Mr. Lee, who is also backed by the Tea Party Express, won the Republican Senate nomination in a June primary. The seat is currently held by Republican Senator Robert Bennett, who lost his bid for a fourth term in May when he failed to secure his party’s nomination at the state’s Republican convention. close
