Donald Marron spoke about U.S. economic and fiscal policy, focusing on the potential challenges in sustaining and promoting an economic recovery. Among the topics he addressed were tax policy, budget deficits, and economic stimulus programs. He also responded to questions from the audience.
"Fiscal Policy in Interesting Times" was a luncheon address of the 12th Annual Retirement Research Consortium Conference held at the National Press Club. The consortium consists of the University of Michigan Retirement Research Center, Center for Retirement Research at Boston College, and the National Bureau of Economic Research Retirement Research Center. It was coordinated by the Social Security Administration Office of Policy.
