Edward Djerejian appeared on the television program "Viewpoint with James Zogby" to talk about his book Danger and Opportunity: An American Ambassador's Journey Through the Middle East (Threshold Editions; September 9, 2008) and the current situation in the Middle East. During the program, Ambassador Djerejian took calls from "Viewpoint" viewers from around the world. "Viewpoint" airs live on Abu Dhabi TV and LinkTV. Edward Djerejian has served as a U.S. diplomat under eight presidents going back to John F. Kennedy, including as U.S. ambassador to Syria and Israel. He was a special assistant to President Reagan and is the founding director of the James A. Baker III Institute at Rice University.
