Daniel Jonah Goldhagen talks about his book, A Moral Reckoning: The Role of the Catholic Church in the Holocaust and Its Unfulfilled Duty of Repair, published by Alfred A. Knopf. In it, the author makes the claim that the Catholic Church is, to a limited extent, morally at fault for the Holocaust during World War II. He cites Christianity's views on the Jews as grounds for their guilt. The author then asserts that the Catholic Church must offer political, material, and cultural restitutions for their role in the Holocaust. After the presentation the author answered questions from members of the audience.
