The book details the life of controversial author and activist Richard Wright, author of such books as Native Son, and The Outsider. Mr. Wright joined the communist party as a young man, but as a result had bestselling books banned in some cities and states in the U.S. After the presentation Professor Rowley answered questions from members of the audience. close
