After the Presentation of Colors, the singing of the National Anthem, and the invocation, officials from all branches of military service paid tribute to women veterans as well as women now serving. Certificates of appreciation were presented to Colonel Lois Beck and to Matius Wandler, husband of Major Dina Wandler. A wreath from the Vietnam Veterans of America was placed by two U.S. Army Nurse Corps veterans.

Wilma Vaught is a retired Brigadier General. Chaplain Manning is a Colonel in the U.S. Army. General Dunwoody is the U.S. Army Deputy Chief of Staff. close
