Ms. Shlaes moderated this discussion titled, “Sex, Lies and Affirmative Action.” They examined women’s social and economic progress over the past 25 years since affirmative action program were initiated and whether women still need such programs. Ms. Furchtgott-Roth is the author of a new study on the issue which argues that there is little economic discrimination against women today. After their individual presentations, they took questions from the audience. close
