At a second annual seminar for female summer interns, participants spoke about a variety of political and leadership issues. They spoke about the poor economic, social and cultural state of U.S. society and advocated various solutions: reducing the size of the federal government, encouraging people to assume more personal responsibility, maintaining a pro-life stance on abortion, making federal policies more pro-marriage, and bridging the gender gap which Senator Bob Dole’s campaign faces. The group also honored Virginia Thomas, wife of Justice Clarence Thomas. The event was hosted by Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute. close
