In a lecture about private lands and wildlife," former California Fish and Games Director Boyd Gibbons spoke about the conflict between personal property rights and the protection of native wildlife species. He also focused on endangered species legislation. University of Maryland Professor Robert Nelson also briefly spoke about these issues. This was the first lecture in a Smithsonian Institution series on ecology and the economy. close
