Jonathan Kirsch discussed some of the themes of his book King David: The Real Life of the Man Who Ruled Israel, published by Ballantine Books. In his book, Mr. Kirsch draws from Biblical texts and commentaries as well as modern Biblical scholarship to provide a biography of the man who was King of the Jews some three thousand years ago. He relates the seminal events of David’s life, including the accomplishments and failures of the years during which he reigned in Jerusalem. After his presentation, Mr. Kirsch answered questions from members of the audience. close
