Press Secretary Dana Perino was joined by Secretary Michael Leavitt during the daily press briefing. Secretary Leavitt talked about the Import Safety Working Group, saying he met with the health ministers of the G-7, plus the health minister of Mexico, all of whom are addressing import issues involving the safety and inspection of produce and drugs. He responded to reporters' questions.

Ms. Perino continued answering questions after the secretary left. Other topics included the congressional override of President Bush’s veto of the Water Resources legislation.
