In an edited program, Mr.Thomson interviewed Alexandra Fuller, author of Don’t Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight: An African Childhood and Carl Djerassi, author of the memoir This Man’s Pill: Reflections on the 50th Birthday of the Pill. Fuller’s memoir tells of her experiences growing up in Africa amid political turmoil. Djerassi, a chemist, novelist, and playwright, is credited with developing the birth control pill over 50 years ago. He discussed his past experiences and the future of birth control and sex.
