Panelists talked about the book edited by Dennis Johnson and Valerie Merians, What We Do Now, published by Melville House Publishing. The book was a collection of essays written by progressives in response to President Bush’s 2004 election victory. Among the issues they addressed were the future of the Democratic Party, the role of the U.S. in the world, social and cultural issues, and uniting the American electorate.
