Panelists discussed the factors that limit water available throughout the U.S. Topics include the competition for water by different users, the resulting changes in water flow, and changes in the quality of the water. Factors that pollute the water supply include population growth, irrigation, protecting the biodiversity of ecosystems, and climate change. Panelists provided specific examples of the connections between water use and water quality and how they can affect water availability. Following their prepared remarks the panelists answered questions from members of the audience.
