Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Ms. Garland talked about current events including the accomplishments of the governors meeting in Washington and the Republican presidential primaries. Ms. Grace talked about the Louisiana primaries by telephone. In the newspaper roundtable, Mr. Scott and Mr. Mica talked about current issues including health care and the Republican primaries. Mr. Knapp talked about his first vote and the Republican primaries. In the next segment, Mr. Feinerman and Mr. Fisher talked about China/Taiwan relations. In the Point/Counterpoint segment, Mr. Gaffney and Ms. Schultz talked about whether or not to there should be additional B2 bombers manufactured. close
