U.S. Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan was interviewed about issues including combating ISIS, the Syrian conflict and cybersecurity efforts. He responded to the Senate vote overriding the president’s veto of a law which allows families of victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks to sue the government of Saudi Arabia saying, “the legislation is badly misguided and doesn’t take into account the negative impacts on U.S. national security interests.” Shortly after Mr. Brennan’s remarks, the House also voted to override the president’s veto of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA).
