Current news events and political issues were examined thru a look at morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Barbara Matusow of The Washingtonian talked about the morning headlines, including allegations of unethical conduct in the Clinton White House and the Clinton and Dole presidential campaigns. In the newspaper roundtable, George Curry of Emerge Magazine and Janet Parshall of Salem Radio Network talked about current issues including church burnings and former Senator Dole’s presidential campaigns.
