Senator Kerry spoke about at Faneuil Hall in Boston about military involvement in Iraq and U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. Among the topics he addressed were the prosecution of both the conflicts by politicians, the sacrifices of U.S. Armed Forces personnel, and the role of dissenting opinions on military conflict. He also criticized the Bush administration’s handling of the military and political situation in Iraq, calling for new leadership on a policy of planned withdrawal. 

Introductory remarks were made by Jonathan Powers, a veteran of the war in Iraq, and Judy Droz Keyes, a Gold Star Mother from the Vietnam War.
