The twenty-fourth hour of the 25th anniversary of viewer calls focused on the year 2003, current events, and on war in Iraq. Guests talked about the current political landscape, the impact of media coverage on the political landscape, and responded to questions and comments from viewers.

Erika Barger, a senior at Sea Breeze High School in Ormand Beach, Fla., and grand prize winner of the 25th anniversary essay contest, co-hosted the program.

The program was part of a 25-hour call-in marathon commemorating 25 years of viewer calls that began with television’s first-ever, regularly scheduled, national viewer call-in program on October 7, 1980, when the 19-month-old network televised a live viewer call-in program from the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. close
