Witnesses testified on U.S. strategy in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The hearing took place two days after the killing by U.S. forces of Osama bin Laden in Pakistan. Ranking Committee Member Dick Lugar said that President Obama has failed to justify the expense and necessity of his strategy in Afghanistan.
