The House Foreign Affairs Committee heard testimony on the future of U.S. foreign policy from three former national security advisers from the Kennedy, Carter, and Reagan administrations. Among the issues brought up in the discussion were the U.S. relationship with the United Nations and how the U.S. can “win the peace” following the Cold War. Of particular concern was U.S. foreign policy concerning the newly democratic states in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. close
