In separate interviews, Walker and Company co-founder Beth Walker and president and publisher George Gibson talked about the history of the publishing company, the authors and the books they publish, and the future of independent publishing companies. Also featured were a behind-the-scenes look at an editorial meeting, a marketing session where the author’s book was shown, a publishing meeting where the editorial team talked about current books being published, and review of the marketing and publishing plans for those books. Walker and Company was co-founded by the late Samuel Walker and his wife Beth. Walker and Company has remained an entirely independent, family-owned firm since it was founded in 1959. close
