Committee members heard testimony from federal aviation officials involved in the TWA Flight 800 crash investigation and from victims' families concerning the outcome and conduct of the investigation. The plane exploded over the Atlantic Ocean just after it had taken off from New York City en route to Paris and to date a cause has not been announced. All 230 passengers were killed. This program is incomplete due to technical problems with the first 90 minutes of tape. close
