Following a press conference proposing a voters' bill of rights, participants talked about reforming ballots, voter participation, disenfranchisement during the 2000 elections, and future race relations under the new administration of George W. Bush. They also talked about several cabinet nominations and how they might approach issues important to the black community. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. The Center of Constitutional Rights sponsored the event. close
