WomenVote USA hosted the forum “Colloquium on Women Voters: The Defining Vote.” Several top female journalists participated in a panel titled “Media’s Role in Defining Women Voters.” They talked about women voters and the media as well as the history of women voters in electoral campaigns from the 1980 election to the present. The journalists also discussed how Reagan initially did not win the majority of the women vote, but by 1984, his campaign had been able to capture a majority of the vote. After they spoke, the panelists responded to questions from members of the audience.
