An oversight hearing was held to identify steps the Departments of State and Homeland Security have made since 9/11 to address gaps and vulnerabilities in the visa process. The first panel of government officials included a new report titled "Border Security: Strengthening Visa Process Would Benefit from Improvements in Staffing and Information Sharing." The second panel of experts testified on progress made in homeland security since September 11, 2001.
