Law enforcement, legal, and social work experts testified about possible changes to the Violence Against Women Act, and the law’s effectiveness in protecting women from gun violence. Topics included additional protections for victims as well as protecting the constitutional rights of the accused. The personal stories of people who had experienced domestic and gun violence were told.
