Larry Schweikart talked about his book America’s Victories: Why the U.S. Wins Wars and Will Win the War on Terror, published by Sentinel. Professor Schweikart examined America’s military record from the Revolutionary War to its current war on terror and argued that the U.S. military today is the most humane and effective fighting force in the world. He also compared the U.S. military’s involvement in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War to its current involvement in Iraq. Mr. Schweikart showed slides during his presentation, and after his presentation he responded to questions from members of the audience.
