The 2nd U.S Circut Court of appeals heard a case that dealt with employment discrimination against Cynthia Fisher, a professor at Vassar College, who was denied tenure, which she claimed was due to her age of 57 years. The Appeals Court reversed the decision of the U.S. District for the Southern District of New York which awarded Ms. Fisher over $600,000 in damages. close
