Participants discussed the 1976 Supreme Court decision, Buckley v. Valeo, which upheld legislation limiting contributions to $1000 contribution for candidates in federal elections, and how it has affected campaign financing. In particular they focused on the constitutionality of the decision in regards to the First Amendment.
