Leonard Marcus, an Editor, talked about his book, “Dear Genius: The Letters of Ursula Nordstrom,” published by Harpercollins. The book is a collection of warm and witty letters from Ursula Nordstrom, editorial director of Harper’s Department of Books for Boys and Girls from 1940 to 1973, to her team of children’s book authors and illustrators, each of whom she called “Genius.” Among the books she brought to market were “Where the Wild Things Are” and “Charlotte’s Web.” close
