Participants spoke to the press after the U.S. Supreme Court issued a 5-4 ruling on Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. The case addresses campaign finance laws and the 2002 Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act--widely known as McCain-Feingold. The Court ruled that the First Amendment bans limits on corporate and union political campaign spending.
