Former Senator Mitchell (D-ME) and former Speaker of the House Gingrich (R-GA) spoke about United Nations reform efforts. They discussed their work on a congressionally mandated task force to examine reform options, the future role of the U.N., and specific recommendations from the task force report American Interests and UN Reform. After the chair spoke, former Senator Wallop (R-WY) and Mr. Hills joined Senator Mitchell and Representative Gingrich. The panelists responded to questions and comments from members of the audience.
