Philip Deloria talked about his book Indians in Unexpected Places, published by University Press of Kansas. He described how American Indians have been depicted in U.S. newspapers, movies, and art throughout American history. Professor Deloria described how these depictions have changed over time, the reasons for the changes, and the impact the changes have had on Indians. After his presentation he responded to questions from members of the audience.
