Gurcharan Das talked about his book India Unbound: A Personal Account of a Social and Economic Revolution from Independence to the Global Information Age, published by Knopf. The book looks at India’s political and economic development in the years since its independence from England in 1947. Mr. Das writes about this period of rapid change and puts forth an optimistic prediction for India’s future. Following his presentation, Mr. Das responded to questions from members of the audience. close
