Umberto Eco delivered remarks at the Third Annual Arthur Miller Freedom to Write Lecture in the Great Hall of Cooper Union. Topics included how fiction and "untruth" inform our reality, indisputable truths in fictional texts, hypertexts and the creation of new forms of literature, and the "American disease" of deconstructive criticism.
