Mr. Lesser talked about his book, Beyond Suspicion: Rethinking U.S.-Turkish Relations, released by the Wilson Center Southeast Europe Project. The book was the culmination of a major eighteen-month research project examining the current disrepair in U.S.-Turkey relations and exploring ways to rebuild and strengthen bilateral ties. Other topics included Turkish military operations in northern Iraq, and the impact of the U.S. House of Representatives Armenian genocide resolution. After his presentation he responded to audience members' questions.
