Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Ms. House talked about the Supreme Court building. In the next segment, Mr. Suter described how a case progresses through the judicial system and to the Supreme Court. In the newspaper roundtable, Mr. Prettyman and Mr. Cooper, who both served as clerks there, talked about current news issues and their impressions of the Court. In the next segment, Ms. Galloway talked about the Court’s exhibit commemorating the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two. In the next segment, Ms. Yarborough talked about the East Conference Room. In the next segment, Mr. Savage talked about his impressions of the recently concluded Court term.
