Participants talked about a potential expansion of the Bush administration’s military efforts against terrorism to Iraq and other developing countries. Among the issues they addressed were protest movements against expansion of the war, civil liberties in the U.S. and abroad, and peaceful alternatives to war. Mr. Clark spoke at length about the impact of current economic sanctions on the people of Iraq and the potential devastation resulting from military action. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
