General Hagee’s topic was, “The 21st Century Marine Corps: Creating Stability in an Unstable World.” He described U.S. Marine and Navy humanitarian relief efforts in Indonesia after the December 2004 tsunami and the positive effect on the opinion of Indonesians about the U.S. He also talked about the battle of Faluja, Iraq in November 2004 as a good example of a successful joint operation, and about stability and security for the Iraqi elections. After his presentation he answered audience members' questions. close
