Jaswant Singh, former Indian external affairs minister and current member of Parliament, and Strobe Talbott, former deputy secretary of State and current president of the Brookings Institution, talked about the impact of their series of meetings held in the wake of India’s 1998 nuclear tests. Through their dialogue, Mr. Singh and Mr. Talbott laid the groundwork for the current movement to build a firm strategic relationship between India and the United States.
