French Ambassador to the U.S. Jean-David Levitte addressed attendees at the International Plenary and Luncheon of the NAFSA (Association of International Educators) 2004 Annual Conference about the complexities of the global forces affecting international education and exchange. He talked about France’s role in fighting terrorism in Afghanistan and in Iraq. Other topics included the relations of the European Union to the United States and to NATO and the upcoming commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. Following his remarks he responded to questions from members of the audience. close
