President Obama talked about his proposal to allow offshore drilling for gas and oil along the Atlantic coast, the eastern Gulf of Mexico, and northern Alaska. In his remarks he also announced plans to order 5,000 hybrid vehicles for the government fleet and to increase fuel efficiency standards for new cars.
