Mr. Brzezinski talked about the current state of U.S.-China relations and how they affect the stability of Asia in general. He focused on the role China has played in the region, and their rise to a world power. He clarified the situation surrounding the famous “one China” policy which has governed U.S.-China policy in regards to Taiwan and the Taiwan Relations Act which promises U.S. assistance in the event of a Chinese attack on Taiwan. Following his prepared remarks he took questions from the audience.
