The House Ways and Means Committee will hold a hearing on U.S.-China economic relationship and the role of China in the world economy. Witnesses testified about China’s participation in global trade organizations and agreements, imbalances in U.S.-China trade, as well as labor and workers rights in both the U.S. and China. One major concern was also Chinese abuses of fair trade practices, violations of copyright and trademark regulations, and pirating of U.S. products and services. close
