Secretary Johanns and others talked about U.S. farm subsidies and reform. It was noted that Congress is due to review and rewrite agriculture legislation in 2007. In regard to multilateral trade negotiations they discussed the effect the suspension of the World Trade Organization’s Doha Development Agenda negotiations would have on a new U.S. farm bill. The participants responded to audience members' questions.
