George Dyson talked about the team, led by John von Neumann, who built the first computer at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, and the impact of that work on other fields of science such as biology and nuclear physics. Mr. Dyson was interviewed by John Hollar and responded to questions from members of the audience and on Twitter. Akrevoe Emmanouilides was then called up from the audience to join the conversation.

This event, part of the Computer History Museum 2012 lecture series celebrating Revolutionaries, was part of an international series celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Alan Turing. close
