Colonel Davis talked about the role of military commissions in the global war on terrorism. Colonel Davis defined military commissions, described the history of their use and challenges to their use in the U.S., explained the rules of practice and procedure before such commissions, and described future operations of the commissions from the chief prosecutor’s perspective. Following his remarks he answered questions from students in the audience.

This was the first time a representative of the Office of Military Commissions spoke publicly about the role of the OMC in the war on terrorism. close
