The “Christmas Pageant of Peace” ceremony at The Ellipse marked the 81st lighting of the National Christmas Tree. President and Mrs. Bush lit the tree while television personality Willard Scott portrayed Santa. There were also musical performances of traditional holiday music by Darren Holden, Kimberley Locke, Connie Smith, Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, Carl Tanner, United States Marine Band, and the West Tennessee Youth Chorus. close
